“Echoes of Home” is an Game Prototype exploring childhood trauma by representing a child’s experience through immersive, everyday surroundings rather than explicit narration. Environmental storytelling with subtle details like hidden food and medication is used to convey unspoken experiences. Inspired by psychological studies and with a realistic, emotional atmosphere, it aims to foster empathy and raise awareness.

"Echoes of Home" is a project that uses the environment to tell the story of a child called Alex, who is suffering from childhood abuse. Instead of using words or characters, it shows the child’s experience through the surroundings, like the rooms they live in and the things they use every day. Each detail, like hidden food or sleep medication, helps tell the story of what the child is feeling and going through. The project is inspired by real psychological studies about how children deal with trauma. My goal with "Echoes of Home" is to help people understand and feel empathy for children in tough situations, bringing attention to what often goes unseen. Made in Unreal Engine, it combines my own 3D models with other assets from the Unreal Marketplace to create a realistic and emotional space.
